No, they are different technologies. The Banana Jet® is an older technology that suffers from some drawbacks including more headroom being required and a reduced measured thrust. Please refer to our comparison page.

The MoJet® is available from several highly renowned fan manufacturers, hence alternative commercial quotations can be obtained. Please refer to our licensees page.

With many years of tunnel ventilation experience, MoJet Ventilation can assist in providing strategic advice. The commercial input is provided through our partners – but MoJet Ventilation, supported by our parent Mosen Ltd can provide technical support. The appointed designer has ultimate design responsibility.

Vane deflectors reduce the measured thrust of a jet fan, increase noise and cause more power to be absorbed. They also kill the discharged swirl, increasing the jet throw which can then attach to vehicles and cause a nuisance to tunnel users. Please refer to our comparison page.

Like all methods that deflect the jet stream away from the tunnel surfaces, the main benefit is in the installed performance. Unlike deflectors and Banana Jet®, the MoJet® has no performance disadvantages compared to installing a conventional jet fan – only advantages. The benefit is derived through lower pressure losses downstream of jet fans. These advantages can be estimated using our online installation factor calculator.
