Birkenhead, UK Mersey Queensway Tunnel
Measurements and 3D CFD calculations were undertaken for a 1.25 m internal diameter reversible MoJet® and for an equivalent conventional jet fan installed in the Rendel Street branch of the Mersey Queensway Tunnel. The airflow measurements indicated about 30% increase in the tunnel thrust with the MoJet®, for approximately the same power consumption.
